Happy Halloween!!!

I have been downloading the wall paper for my phone and in love with the following holiday theme. The lady with the broomstick? Well, I don't usually look like that aside from the time doing house chores, lol.

Universal Studios 4!

Waterworld attraction, is based on Waterworld film: in a time when the earth was covered in water and civilization is left adrift. This is a show offering outstanding visual effects and death defying stunts, and thus it should not be missed. It is 16 mintues long, occurs after the events of the movie, and includes several characters from the movie. If you like to get wet before and during the show, you can choose sitting at the soak zones. Tips: check out the show time before you queue for any ride or show.

Universal Studios 3!

The lost world feature two themes: Jurassic Park and Water World. The stunts, explosion, spills have their moments @ water world and I will post them in next post.

Jurassic Park? It is great for many reasons: Dino-Soarin, where we can pilot our own ride, Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure, the water raft system, tossed on waterways within the compound, Canopy Flyer, and Amber Rock Climb.

Dino-Soarin

If you mind getting wet, one can buy the rain coat for S$2 at the entrance of Rapid Adventure. I definitely felt dizzy after that ride, so I didn't bother to go for the second round. Since I want to avoid the malaise like I was on Enchanted Airways, I did not climb my way to top @ Amber Rock Climb or glide through the treetops to enjoy the bird’s –eye view of the park @ Canopy Flyer.

Canopy Flyer
I looked definitely sulky until I was @ Discovery food court, where we had our lunch. How can my other half live with moody me, especially when I am hungry? Anyway, we got lucky as we did not have to wait for long, the rice with roasted chicken and chicken were delicious, noodles from kid’s menu was awful, and almond jelly dessert was tasteless. By the way, it is not allowed to bring any drinks or food from outside, but no one bothers to search our backpacks or bags at the entrance of the studios.

Universal Studios 2!

Shrek 4 D is a must see show in the Kingdom of far far away. Though we had to queue for a while, we managed to watch it twice. We can enjoy shopping @ Fairy Godmother’s Potion shop and ride Magic Potion Spin, a miniature ferris wheel for small children.

Enchanted Airways, a donkey beloved dragon, is a roller coaster, which made me feel nausea and frightened. I was angry with myself for riding it at the first place, and not reading the warning, lol.

Donkey live show is in fact a fun show: the interactive questions and answers is a moment to recall, though singing donkey is quite forgettable. My final notice, just beware of OGRE!!!

Universal Studios 1!

Universal studios, a place that I have been longing to visit in Singapore, is in fact fantastic. I was there last Sunday and am grateful to my other half for taking me there. As Singapore itself is not vast, I must say, it is a wow factor to be able to build such different themes in one place, offering a complete and compact entertainment to every individual.

The ticket consists of a bundle of coupons: 5 S$ for a meal, 5 S$ for one retail item, and 15% discount rate for any retail shop. We passed through Hollywood, where we can find the café, bistro, souvenir shops, etc. and headed to Madagascar. A crate adventure attraction is not ready for the public yet, and the King Julien’s Beach Party-Go-Round is one place to have fun. I was with Alex, no kidding, I love the Alex the lion but I didn’t buy any keepsakes from Penguin Mercantile.

20/10/2010

20/10/2010, what a beautiful number, isn’t it? I have no intention to write a post today, BUT, when I see the date, I change my mind. Then I ask myself, “What do I write about?” as I have done nothing but my ordinary routine. Shall I write about how I love all my shoes, which by the way, my other half buys for me, with me or without me? Thanks a lot for that!!! Or shall I tell people how clumsy I am? How moody I am during these days? How I feel whenever I see the COLORED shirt?

I finally decided to give credit to my other half again with this post since he was the one who made this delicious crispy fried gourd. He mixed the flour with water, seasoned it, and kept it overnight. The next day, cut the gourd in pieces, soaked them for a while in a mix and deep-fried them:  here they are, thin and thick crispy fried gourd, better serve with tamarind dip or eat them with traditional fish soup, Mohinga.
