End of the Journey

My James Bond Island tour finished after visiting two islands, namely, Koh Panyee ( เกาะปันหยี ) and Koh Khao Phing Kan (เขาพิงกัน). Ever since I have watched the advertisement campaign from TMB Bank, I am excited to visit Koh Panyee or Fishing Village in Phang Nga Province. We went there by long-tailed boat: the weather was not on our side as it started raining. As you know for certain, I was scared but intended to go according to tour plan and finally arrived to the island.

We stayed there about 45 minutes and continued our journey to Koh Khao Phing Kan, also known as James Bond Island, after 1974 movie flick “The man with the Golden Gun”. We had 30 minutes to view the famous island and the islet, Koh Khao Tapu ( เขาตะปู ), situated around 40 meters from the shore. I didn’t try to go near this mushroom-like islet, as it was muddy due to changing pattern of the tides. At the end of the day, I couldn’t express how pleased I was to be able to stand still on the ground.

Some of my friends from blogosphere may have seen them million time but if you ask me, I have never ever seen those shell rock formation in my life and thus I wanted to keep in my web journal.

From Lunch to Tham Pung Chang Cave

After the Monkey cave, we were headed for lunch which included the following dishes. I didn’t have a problem taking pictures of food since all of us are not local and we all are amateur photogs. It is kind of amusing to see all of us try to take pictures of the dishes, a fraternity or I can’t think of anything to name our common interest. I didn’t luck out to take 2 regular yet delicious meals from the lunch, the never-made-me-bored-omelet and simply-delicious-stirred-fried-mixed-vegetables.

Later the guide brought us to the Tham Pung Chang, kind of new attraction from Phang Nga, to explore the nature. There I was, not knowing what to expect from the next location, tried not to think of unpleasant thoughts like drowning and the claustrophobic interior. When we reached the location, they handed me the head flashlight and told us not to bring anything, anything at all. I refused to go there inside at first, as all I could see was the canoe, the water, the cave, and the darkness, in other words, the combination of fear factors. Anyway I did survived during the tour, canoeing, and bamboo rafting by most of our country mates who work there and walking in the cave to explore natural environment.

Wat Suwan Kuha

Wat Suwan Kuha temple, locally known as Money Cave temple, is situated in Phang Nga Province, where I have visited during my James Bond Island tour. I had a difficult time choosing where to go during my visit to Phuket as day trips provided by tour companies include nothing but many islands tours. Since I can’t imagine my dream becomes nightmare, I chose that tour, which includes mostly road trip and a few hours in sea.

The tour picked us up at 10:30 am and headed to Phang Nga Province: it takes an hour and half to reach to the cave from Patong Beach. Monkeys were everywhere in front of the temple and we were told not to touch them.  Who would try to touch them, eh?  It is humid inside the cave and we did struggle not to fell down in some areas. The amazing thing for me is the 15-meter long reclining Buddha, which is very peaceful and stunning.

Beyoncé - If I Were A Boy

If I were a boy even just for a day
I'd roll out of bed in the morning
And throw on what I wanted
And go drink beer with the guys

And chase after girls
I'd kick it with who I wanted
And I'd never get confronted for it
'Cause they stick up for me

If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I'd be a better man

I'd listen to her
'Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
'Cause he's taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

If I were a boy
I would turn off my phone
Tell everyone it's broken
So they'd think that I was sleeping alone

I'd put myself first
And make the rules as I go
'Cause I know that she'd be faithful
Waiting for me to come home, to come home

Patong Beach and Phromthep Cape: Phuket

This morning in Phuket, the weather was not really hot like I expected, so we decided to go to the Patong Beach near our place. Later I got the message from my friend saying that she was on her way to Phuket town and we can meet each other at Central Festival shopping mall. The mall? Personally, I prefer the one from Pattaya city, which is newer and situated at the beach road, provided the fact that the consumer brands and the restaurants are the same.

I finally met my dear friend AiR this afternoon and we had a blast. We talked, gossiped, exchanged stories and unintentionally kept our hubbies in the dark, lol! She and her hubby showed us around town and brought us to the south end of Phuket, Phromthep Cape, where the view is just breathtaking and I can’t thank them enough for that experience. We then headed to the town to have dinner and said our goodbyes at the place we are staying.

Phuket FantaSea

I am mad at myself today; the obvious reason would be my absent-mindedness. Yesterday, while I was packing for my trip, I also charged the camera batteries, downloaded photos from the SD cards, and finally put the chargers in the luggage. Then I was indecisive about which camera I should bring and my significant other suggested me to bring the light one instead of the heavy one. I was OK with that and this morning, during the flight, my lovely hubby asked me why I didn’t take any pictures and there, I knew I forgot my camera.

I don’t know how I look that time, but I might look really pitiful, haha: my other half tells me that he will buy a new one for me after landing. Of course I refused and used the camera from his backpack during my trip to Phuket FantaSea. We chose the package without buffet and as all the standard seats were fully booked, we got only the gold seat. The show starts at 9 p.m. and finishes at 10.15 p.m. and it was magnificent and breathtaking.

As much as I want to take pictures during the show, it is prohibited. We all need to deposit our mobile phone and camera before the show. It is great just to look around the shops and feel the good vibes from the crowd too. From my point of view, everything is well organized, and we had a great time before, during and after the show. My pregnant friend? Well, this afternoon we have a double dates, and can’t wait to see her in person!!!

What is new in Siam Ocean World?

My daily routine was perfectly going well till I had the rush on the skin, mostly due to hot weather. There, I am not OK with this hot season and some cool down tips are not that effective. I can imagine what most people think about me, well, such a whiner when it comes to unbearable heat and I couldn’t agree more.

Actually, I don’t know why I can’t manage to access Internet during these days though I am not that busy physically, and mentally, it has been up and down: terribly unhappy for well-loved and sadly-missed blogger. To confess, there hasn’t been a day passing by without thinking of my dear friends from the blogsphere and indulging their new posts.

Speaking of post, I did notice something new, a shell collection to be exact at Siam Ocean World and thought of documenting in my blog. Like most friends do, I will be off to meet my pregnant friend in southern part of Thailand tomorrow and, here comes the truth, I will certainly and tremendously miss all of my significant friends/netizens too.
